As work was occasionally slack, the proprietor felt he needed a website so he decided to search online for a web designer. He began sifting through the hundreds of thousands of pages listing designers from all corners of the globe; confused and bewildered he turned off the computer and switched on the kettle for a nice cup of tea!

At work the next day, the chat with his son (over another cup of tea but this time with added biscuit) revealed his friend had heard about a possible solution - me!

The website he commissioned cost £250. The site averages 300 hits a week and has substantially increased his orders.

HowlettArtwork is based near Maldon, Essex - where the famous Sea Salt is produced and Thames Barges live. Here you can see the barges moored along the quay-side on what was a bit of a stormy day!
